My First Paid Cake!!

My dear friend, Holly, needed a cake for her sister in laws baby shower, so here is what I came up with.  Although I can't take all the credit for the idea, because I saw it in a magazine awhile ago, I did have to make some slight changes to make it look right with the supplies that I had available.  I also made a homemade chocolate cake with a chocolate filling.  I still need some work on the filling, but it wasn't horrible.  I ate it. Haha, but then again, I eat anything chocolate.  I still used the Wilton Buttercream Frosting that comes in the big tub from Michaels. (but I'm working on a few different recipes right now for an even better tasting frosting).  I enjoyed making this cake, because I didn't have to get the frosting to look perfect....because it needed to look like waves or at least water.  The rubber ducky is plastic, and was just set on the top of the cake for looks, but I still think that it turned out great.

This same weekend, I also got to decorate an X rated cake for a friends Bachelorette party.  Pictures can be shared on request, as this is not something for the eyes of everyone. :)
