Butterflies

Happy First Birthday, Dylan! Her mom was going for a garden theme, and wanted some butterflies. The little cake was her smash cake, and the bigger cake was for all of the guests. The bigger cake ended up being a lot more difficult than I thought, in terms of getting it even on both sides, but I think that it turned out ok. I used 3 heart shape cakes and cut the one in half to make the bottom wings of the butterfly.

It's a Boy!

I made this cake for my coworker, who was expecting a little boy. The feet and the onsie are done in fondant, where the rest is done in buttercream. I still need to work on the placement of my words/letters, but I'm slowly getting better.

Pokemon

Donnie loves Pokemon, so I made this cake for his birthday! We added some yellow lightening blots coming out of the top and some Pokemon figurines for the finishing touches!

Going away...

I got to use my creative juices on this one. A friend's sister was moving away. So, I made a homemade French Vanilla cake, in the shape of a suitcase, which help 'stickers' of her favorite things in Omaha/life. I loved doing this cake!

Wedding Elegance

My dear friend, Cat, got married the other day and I had the honor of baking and decorating her cakes. She had three cakes, all different sizes. She was going for the more 'rustic' look, so it was more of a wavy look, instead of the smooth frosting look that you normally see.
We kept is simple with some deep purple 'lilies'. I made these with Royal Icing, to help them keep their shape a bit better. Congrats Cat!!
